The Barrabool Hills Landcare Group is making available small grants for re-vegetation projects in the local area. Applicants must be current financial members of the Barrabool Hills Landcare Group and contribute at least 50% of the project costs. The maximum grant available per project is $500.
Funding will be provided to assist landholders to fence off and re-vegetate areas with native indigenous plants, where possible using local provenance trees, shrubs and grasses. Projects are encouraged to build links with existing vegetation and to be a minimum of 6 rows (approx 20m wide). Landholders must commit to managing stock access plus pest plant and animal control. Projects are to be completed within 12 months.
Applicants should fill in the “Small Grants Project application form” (below) providing details of the project, including site location, map of proposed works, length and type of fencing, numbers of plants to be established and costings. Applicants should include any other relevant details which will assist in determining the success of the application. For further info ring Jim on 0409 935 700
